    Description

    Featured here is a
    lot of six postage stamps for the Kingdom of Burundi, honoring Prince Louis Rwagasore, who established a political movement, "Union for National Progress" to lead Burundi to complete independence
    . Though his party handily won control of the government, which led to Rwagasore being appointed Prime Minister, he was assassinated less than a month later. These stamps were produced to honor him posthumously.
